Accommodation The KR2004 conference will take place at the Westin Resort and Spa at Whistler Canada from June 2 - 5, 2004. Whistler is in the mountains about 70 km north of Vancouver, set in a truly fabulous part of the world. KR/ICAPS/NMR/DL has reserved a block of rooms at Westin Resort & Spa at significantly reduced conference rates. Conference attendees must indicate their group affiliation by the computer code name to receive the group rate. Our code is 1754. Westin Resort & SpaTo make a reservation online: Reservation requests received after 5:00pm local time at the Hotel on the cut-off date will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis. All room rates are exclusive of applicable provincial and local taxes, currently 17%. Room rates for the conference, like all room rates, are subject to the Provincial Guest Room Tax of 10% and the Federal Government Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 7% in effect at the time of check-in. However, non-residents of Canada are eligible to reclaim the GST for hotel rooms at the border when they leave the country. The Westin Resort & Spa may be able to directly rebate the GST on its invoices, which means that it would not need to be paid and later reclaimed. (For more information on GST rebates on accommodation and other items see the Canadian Government Website ) These taxes are subject to change. The above rates will be offered starting May 29, 2004 to June 12, 2004 for the KR/NMR/DL/ICAPS Conference Series group. Cancellations within 3 days of the arrival date will be charged the full stay of the original reservation. A deposit equal to one nights stay is required to hold each individuals reservation. Such deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the final night of the reserved stay. Student Housing Crystal LodgeReservations should be made by March 1, 2004. After this date, reservations will be taken based on availability. Conference attendees must identify themselves as ICAPS/KR/NMR/DL registrants to qualify for the reduced conference rates. KR/ICAPS/NMR/DL has reserved a block of rooms at the Crystal Lodge. Accommodations are standard and deluxe rooms. A major credit card is required upon booking. 1 room night deposit will be taken on credit card at time of booking. Cancellations outside of 30 days of arrival forfeit CAN$32.10 administration charge. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival forfeit full payment room and tax.
The Crystal Lodge is located adjacent to the Whistler Conference Centre.
